COVID-19 Relief Grant Recipient Spotlight: Mission Aviation Fellowship
ISTAT Foundation Funds Facilitate Further Flying to Fight Coronavirus
By Richard Goodhead (and MAF!)
In August 2020, we featured how ISTAT Foundation funds had helped the Mission Aviation Fellowship (MAF) fight Coronavirus in South Sudan and Bangladesh. In November 2021, the ISTAT Foundation provided a further grant of $9,900 to support additional COVID-related flights across MAF’s programmes… and they certainly put it to good use!
MAF has produced a fantastic summary of how they utilised these funds to provide relief in Liberia, South Sudan, Madagascar, and Chad, and we’re delighted to publish a the report here. It’s well worth a read and a great example of how aviation can be a force for good – this is the kind of life-changing work that donations to the ISTAT Foundation can be used to accomplish, and we thank our generous donors who enable this.
In addition to the report, MAF has also produced this excellent video – join Becki Dillingham, MAF Ops Manager and Pilot, in the cockpit as she describes how MAF has made best use of the funding, and how MAF is extremely grateful for the generous partnership of the ISTAT Foundation.
