2026 ISTAT Foundation Board of Trustees Election
We need active, engaged, energetic trustees to carry out ISTAT Foundation’s mission!
Applications are open for the ISTAT Foundation Board of Trustees. Each trustee serves a three-year term. There are two vacancies in this election cycle to be filled for a term starting in March 2026 and ending in March 2029. Applications must be submitted no later than Tuesday, 9 September 2025. Candidates will be voted upon at the January 2026 board meeting by the ISTAT Board of Directors.
Eligibility
Per the ISTAT Foundation bylaws, all Trustees must be ISTAT members in good standing*. Preference is given to those who have supported ISTAT Foundation activities and programs in the past. Additional information on the election process can be found in the ISTAT Foundation Bylaws under Article V.
Expectations and Responsibilities
- Candidates must be fully committed to carrying out the ISTAT Foundation’s mission to support the future of commercial aviation through investment in learning and development and social responsibility
- Trustees guide the Foundation’s strategy, help develop board policies and participate in committees to execute specific programs.
- Attendance at all meetings of the Board of Trustees is required. There are four meetings held throughout the year at ISTAT Americas, ISTAT EMEA and other locations in June and December. In-person participation is strongly preferred; however, virtual participation is acceptable if unable to attend in person. Committees hold virtual meetings more often to further their goals.
