ISTAT Foundation Surpasses Goal For 30th Anniversary Campaign
18 JULY 2025 (CHICAGO, USA) – The International Society of Transport Aircraft Trading (ISTAT) Foundation is proud to announce the resounding success of its 30th Anniversary Campaign, raising an impressive US$364,500 — far surpassing its original goal of US$300,000.
Launched to commemorate three decades of impact and to secure the Foundation’s legacy for the next generation, the campaign drew support from across the global aviation community. The funds raised will directly fuel the Foundation’s mission to advance education and humanitarian efforts in aviation.
“This campaign is a testament to the power of collective generosity and shared vision,” said Sigþór Einarsson, Vice-Chair of the ISTAT Foundation Board of Trustees. “With these funds, we’re not only expanding access to education and mentorship — we’re investing in the future leaders and innovators of the aviation industry.”
The Foundation extends its heartfelt thanks to the 57 donors who contributed to this milestone effort, with special recognition to major campaign supporters: AerCap, Alton Aviation, GA Telesis, John Slattery and Robert Martin.
“This milestone reflects the deep commitment of our community to shaping the future of aviation,” said Gui Lopes, Executive Director of the ISTAT Foundation. “We are incredibly grateful for the generosity that made this possible.”
More than US$200,000 of the total raised will be dedicated to expanding the ISTAT Foundation Scholarship Program, including the creation of two new named scholarships. The remaining funds will support educational and humanitarian grants, the Mentorship Program and other board-approved initiatives that align with the Foundation’s mission.
This achievement marks a powerful step forward in the Foundation’s commitment to fostering the next generation of aviation professionals and making a lasting difference in communities around the world.
